RB Rankings 2009

This is last year's finishing order for RBs using standard scoring. I included the final fantasy point total so you can see the drop offs from RB1 to RB2 to RB3. If I gave you this equation at the beginning of last season: Knowshon Moreno + DeAngelo Williams = Chris Johnson, you would've said I was nuts. This list demonstrates the importance of getting a stud RB early, as there just aren't enough to go around in a 12-team league. It also shows why Johnson is holding out for more money...he's worth it!

First show and QB Rankings updated

We started up with our first broadcast last night and aside from a few kinks here and there, it went pretty well. It's tough to get all 32 Teams covered in one hour, and so we'll be splitting up our RB shows by doing 16 teams next week and the remaining 16 teams the following week. We'll do the same with the WRs the following weeks.

We missed covering Josh Freeman from Tampa Bay last night. What I basically think is that he's a QB3 with upside. No Antonio Bryant to throw to, they drafted two rookie WRs to develop with him. The situation looks a lot like Cleveland last season but with a steadier presence at QB. As bad as Tampa Bay was last season, Freeman was unflappable. That's going to help him as he develops. Next year is his time to shine more than this year.

I also made an error last night. The most passes caught by a TE in a season under a Mike Martz coached offense is 38, not 19. Still, though, Greg Olsen will suffer in that offense. Just a point of clarification.

QB Rankings

Looking forward to the first show, here are the rankings of the top 32 Fantasy QBs from 2009. I kept Favre as a starter, kept Roethlisberger where he's at, subbed in Leinart for Warner, put Kolb right next to McNabb, then put the split situations at the end of the list. This is a starting point - on June 8th, we'll be updating this list on the show and post it here and on the facebook page. These rankings will be updated throughout the season on a weekly basis, based on matchups.
